Make sure you change them regulary, and use contact solution to stop them drying up.
Change them as directed, give your eyes several hours' break every day, don't sleep in them, don't rub your eyes, always handle them with very clean hands, store them in a case that's either changed or disinfected regularly, clean according to the instructions given by your eye doctor or that are on the bottle of cleaning or multi-purpose solution, and store in sterile solution that's changed every time they're used. The eyes can get infected very easily, so proper handling of contacts is crucial to maintain eye health. In addition, if your contact is dirty or damaged it must be removed immediately and either cleaned or thrown away...anything that scrapes your eye will damage your cornea.
