Can't see your link... but the best all around lens for wedding and portrait would be the Canon F1.4L USM II 24mm prime focus lens. The L-series lenses are diffraction limited (sharper focus) and low focal ratio would let you shoot a lot of shots without flash (great pics) -- even candlelight shots. The prime focus lenses (non-zoom) are always sharper focusing as well.
You also already have a "zoom" (your legs)... just walk up closer. The only thing you won't be able to get are candid shot (hard to do when you get that close). This lens approximates the sensitivity and field of view of the human eye and wide field of views.
It is also the same lens used by fahion photographers. The II version has a biomimetic lens reverse engineered from the eyes of a moth to cut flaring. Incredible lens.... but shoot for 50mm or less prime focus with as low an focal ratio as you can get.

The best lens is the 52mm. Whatever your camera uses as the standard lens. You don't want to get too close to your subjects as it makes them self concious.
Weddings and portraits allow enough time for you to frame the shots so a wide angle or a telephoto aren't needed. Kritiper 57 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
