1 The 55-200mm VR lens is very sharp for the price. You can do portraits or even closeups with it as long as you back off a little. I shot some closeups of orchids in Portland, Maine last year that came out very well.

Looked kind of strange shooting though as I was 6 feet away shooting over the heads of the guys with the macro lenses. :)Your next investment should be the 50mm 1.8 prime lens. It's selling for about a hundred bucks and it's very sharp for portraits.

When you win the Lottery, look at the 18-200mm VR lens which does just about everything. When I travel I carry the 18-200 as my primary walking around lens with the 55-200 and the 50 in the bag.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
