I use Google Buzz Desktop on Ubuntu 10.04 - it's OK but the best I've found.

buzz.google.com will give you a fully functional website on the iPhone/iPad and can be saved as a bookmark to your home screen. Alternatively there is one app (Buzzie) out on the AppStore now which is quite functional though a bit Googlish in terms of UI. On your Mac you're unfortunately relegated to just using Gmail for now - I have not heard of any native apps using the Google Buzz API (out for a month) yet.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
