LA New York Pizza, downtown LA on 6th near Grand. I worked downtown for three years and this was a frequent 'walk to' and often stand up lunch. The line goes down the street at noon on weekdays.
Thin or Sicilian style, both are great. The sign on the wall used to tout that their dough was made with NY City tap water. lanypizza.com/index.htm yelp.com/biz/los-angeles-new-york-pizza-....
According to Yelp, Danielle's Wood Fried Pizza is the best based on 44 reviews. yelp.com/biz/danielles-wood-fired-pizza-... Neighborhoods: North Hollywood, Studio City, Valley Village 4822 Laurel Canyon Blvd Valley Village, CA 91607 (818) 980-8555 daniellespizza.com Here is a recent review on Yelp: "1/10/2010 A fellow Valley Villager recommended Danielle's to me a while back, telling me it's the best pizza she'd had since moving here from NYC. Well, with the rec.
, I had to try it out. I gave Danielle's a go a few months back but didn't get around to the review. I had it again last night and didn't want to forget to give Danielle's a big thumbs up.
The first time I tried the Sausage & Onion pizza. YUM, they even use red onions and the sausage wasn't that chain-style crumbles either, they were chunks/slices. Last night I ordered two larges - a Pepperoni and a Margherita - and introduced a few more people to the wonder that is Danielle's.
Wow, the pepperoni was really, really good - spicy and good. The Margherita was just as good. I believe I also converted a few more people from Papa Johns to Danielle's.
I will tell you this, the large is a whole lot of pizza. Big NY-size slices with lots of toppings. If you're used to the $10 large pizza specials or the two-fer deals, this isn't your place.
You may pay a few extra dollars, but you're paying for quality and at Danielle's you certainly get it - from the owner and staff to the pies they prepare. Yum, Yum and YUM! " Hope this helps.
Any chance you could return the favor and answer a question for me on Mahalo? http://bit.ly/6HRDE7.
Folliero Pizza & Italian Food. It's located in Los Angeles on N Figueroa St. I have a friend there and he says its the only really "fantastic" pizza he's ever had.
The answer to this all depends on the type of Pizza you're looking for. It seems like people tend to lean towards NY style pizza (big slices thin crust) but there are other types that don't fit in to that catagory that should be mentioned namely Chicago style stuffed pizza (crust on the bottom, cheese and toppings inside, then another layer of crust and then sauce on top). In Los Angeles you can get this stuffed pizza in Studio City at Vitello's and its delicious.
I've been going there for over ten years now and its delicious. The previous owner confided to me once that he stole he recipe from Giordano's Pizza in Chicago where you can get some of the best stuffed pizza ever. giordanos.com/ Vitello's is located: 4349 Tujunga Ave Studio City, CA 91604 (818) 769-0905 http://www.vitellosrestaurant.com/ And if you want thin crust pizza that's not quite NY style slices another great place in Los Angeles is Casa Bianca in Eagle Rock.
Good pizza, good toppings and they cut the pizza in squares not slices. It's a relaxed authentic atmosphere and the prices are reasonable. Call ahead to get your name on the list there's almost always a wait.
Casa Bianca is located: 1650 Colorado Boulevard Los Angeles, CA 90041-1436 (323) 256-9617 http://casabiancapizza.com.
Unfortunately, Los Angeles doesn't have the best pizza in the country. However, California Pizza Kitchen's kitchen is great! They use a brick oven, and they have a wide variety of different, interesting pizzas!
If you go there, I'm sure you'll find a pizza you will like.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
