I have two favorites First is Matsuhsia on La Cienega Blvd. It is pricey, but the fish is fresh and everything I have had there is impecable. The Ankimo with caviar and the Toro are always outstanding as well as the black cod miso lettuce leaf.
Try the plum sorbet for dessert, it’s wonderful. For a more reasonable dinner out try SugarFish on San Vincente Blvd. Affordable, excellent sushi and a fun place.
SugarFish is the newest venture from Sushi Nozawa in Studio City. The Crab handroll melts in your mouth. If you want to enjoy a piece of old Hollywood tradition try Yamashiro's.
Decent food, but the fact that it has been a Hollywood landmark since 1914 is what draws me there. That and the fantastic view. Sources: Just my opinion .

Goodbye! Said: 3 I would think that the asker is looking for either personal favorites or word of mouth recommendations. Sometimes I find good tips on yelp.com.It's imo the best site for reviews, but I don't always find what I want, especially in an area I'm less familiar with.

4 Completely subjective because my sons would tell you it's the place down the street - or the other one a few miles from here to the south - or the other one a mile or so to the west. I mean sushi is not just the taste but the atmosphere too. And while some people don't care much about atmosphere others might think that's more important to quality.
My son spends hundreds of dollars at Omino right here in the valley. It get's great reviews, but again, but only a few people. google.com/search?q=omino+sushi&ie=utf-8... a beginning for you if you want to explore what SOME (few) people believe are the best. losangeles.citysearch.com/bestof/winners... here's Zagat ratings for severalhttp://www.zagat.com/Search/Results.aspx?Nf=LatLong|GCLT+34.0522,-118.242797+45&VID=8&N=120&Ntk=Homepage+Search&Ntt=sushi&Ntx=mode%2bmatchall&Nr=OR%28Item%2bStatus%3aActive%2cItem%2bStatus%3aTemporarily%2bClosed%29 .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
