Keep the hair trimmed on a regular basis. This will not only reduce split ends but will give extra bounce and movement to the style. Besides getting it trimmed, conditioning is extremely important.
Use a good conditioner on the ends of hair and deep condtition regularly. Rinse with cold water to close the cuticle and make shiny. Once you are out of the shower use a good leave in condtioner on the ends of the hair.
This will help to minimize split ends. If you have curly hair, a leave in conditioner is a must because curly hair dries out much more easily than straight hair. Citre shine will make har shiny but has a UV protectant to help sun damage which can cause split ends.
I found an article on how to get rid of split ends as well as avoid having them at getridofthings.com. To minimize tangles and get rid of split ends you should brush your hair before taking a shower. And while in shower avoid bunching up your hair while washing it by making sure your hair hangs straight down.
Apply shampoo near the top of your scalp and work the lather down by gently working your fingers in a zigzag motion down the length of your hair. By doing this you prevent tangles that is the cause of breakage or split ends when you brush your hair after shower. Use plenty of conditioning during and after shower to get rid of split ends.
There are conditioners that are good for your hair and others that are not. Usually the conditioners that are more expensive and found in reputable hair salons are better conditioners. Conditioners will make your hair smooth and also prevents breakage because it lubricates the hair the only problem is that it tend to leave residues.
Avoid using hair dryers, curling irons, or hair straightening devices if you are dead serious in getting rid of split ends. Heat or any treatment especially "thermal hair treatments" is bad for the hair. Just allow your hair to dry without hair dryer and brush it in such a way that it spread across yourself exposing more surface area and also reducing the time it takes to dry.
If you have split ends already cut it to get rid of it. At least 1 and 1/2 inch would be good to prevent further splitting. If you have time during the day or in the evening regularly check your hair for split ends and simply cut it about 1 and 1/2 inch and apply conditioning treatment to the recently split end to ensure no more split ends.
Only cutting the hair will get rid of split ends, sad but true. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," though. Others have mentioned great ways to prevent split ends: Don't brush wet hair.
Brush dry hair only as much as needed. Don't tease your hair (Don't brush it the wrong way to increase volume). Use a conditioner and leave it in if your hair is dyed or very dry.
Don't use any heated appliances on your hair: hair dryer, straightening comb, hot curlers, curling iron.
The first STEP in getting rid of split ends is to minimize brushing of hair because this will result in breakage. It is also discouraged to brush wet hair. The suggested comb to use when hair is wet is to use a wide-tooth hair comb.

Keep your ends trimmed and conditioned well especially in the summer heat and the berrrr cold. I also stay away from hair dryers or hot curling irons that can burn your hair and I never brush my hair I always use a comb. I have long thick curly hair and I love wearing it permed.
I use a leave in conditioner thats called Infusium 23 leave in. It does an excellant job at keeping my hair looking and feeling healthy. I never have any trouble with combing my hair after showering either my comb glides though my thick hair.

A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
