What's the difference between a hare and a rabbit?

A hare has their young not in a burrow, like rabbits but on grass. Hares can fend for themselves 1 hr after birth while rabbits are born defenseless. Hares, unlike rabbits haven't been domesticated, or become pets of humans.

Rabbits live in groups while hares are more solitary. However, hares just pair off into courtship while male rabbits fight each other to be the dominant male. This rabbit then courts most of the females.

Also, hares are larger than rabbits most of the time. Hares have longer hind-legs. Rabbits also eat veggies and grass while hares eat harder stuff like twigs and bark.
