An absolute monarchy is where the sovereign has unlimited power they can make and undo any law. In a constitutional monarchy the sovereign is limited by the law.
An absolute monarchy is when a king or queen rules. But in a constitutional monarchy they have a constitutional monarchey, they have a constitution. This king or queen is only a "symbol" like England has a constitutional monarchey now.
