What's the difference between Nissan and Infiniti?

Depending on the export market, there may or may be no difference between the Nissan and the Infiniti. The Infiniti is basically the luxury branch of Nissan, although it is only being sold in North America, Europe, some parts of East Asia and the Middle East. The Infiniti is being sold at 230 dealers in 15 countries.In these countries both the Infiniti and the Nissan exist side by side.

The current Infiniti models are the Infiniti G, Infiniti M, Infiniti EX, Infiniti FX and the Infiniti QX56. In countries where the Infiniti is not being sold, Nissan markets some Infinity models as part of the Nissan fleet. The Infiniti G is marketed as the Nissan Skyline, Infiniti M as Nissan Fuga, Infiniti EX as the Nissan Skyline crossover and Infiniti 45 as the Nissan Cima.

While all of these models are sold in the Japanese market, not all are being sold in international markets without the Infiniti brand.
