What's the most ridiculous reason you've ever heard for a break-up?

I have actually overheard one of my husband’s former fellow soldiers in the military tell him about how he broke up with his former girlfriend of 5 months because he could no longer stand to look at her “cankles”. Apparently, the poor girl had too much meat around her ankles and this had become the main focus of his “disgust” for her. He said he could no longer concentrate on any of her positive traits or the fact that she was a sweet and respectable girl, because her ankles were so unattractive.

I think this is not only one of the weirdest reasons I have ever heard of for a break up, but it is an overall very sad story and totally unreasonable. I could not help but wonder why he started going out with the girl in the first place.

"You can't have your cake and eat it too! " At the time she meant that she didn't believe in ultimate happiness and if I was not only happy with her but she fulfilled all my dreams of what I wanted in a girlfriend that she was doing me a disservice. So as a "favor" to me she broke up with me so I wouldn't be completely happy which by her definition would make me unhappy. "WHAT?

" I was completely flabbergasted. I said, "I not only deserve to have my cake AND eat it, but I also deserve to lick the frosting bowl AND the spoon! And so do YOU!

Why not?" If I was a violent man I'd have bonked her on the head, dragged her back to the cave and tied her up until through lack of nourishment and time to reflect she'd admit how friggin crazy she was and repented! But I don't believe in evolution so I'd have no excuse for my caveman-like behavior.

So I just left. What a stupid b****. Glad she revealed herself early on.

I have since found someone that I am utterly happy with and there are no reservations or regrets. We're living proof that the first girl was just screwy. She did teach me a valuable lesson though - don't date screwy people!

You are too good for me. " I had a woman break up with me using this as her reason. Perhaps she was being sarcastic (I doubt it based on her tone), perhaps she had low self esteam, perhaps she thought of me as too much of a goodie goodie. To this day I am not quite sure, but I was rather floored and puzzled.

I'm female - I was told I was too tall, that it made him look silly so he didn't want to go out with me any more. I thought that was just plain mean and a bit of an excuse but hey maybe the guy really was a big d! Ckhead and couldn't cope with a tall partner - guess I was much better off but it did hurt.

I can't help being tall :(.

A girl I knew in high school broke up with her boyfriend, and while he was trying to win her back she got pregnant with another guy. She told the ex-boyfriend that her reasoning for moving on in this way was that she needed someone to take care of her. (Whatever that means!) She didn't stay with either of them in the end, and the whole thing became quite a ridiculous mess before all was said and done.

Get a job, you said you'd stop selling drugs out of my house, get off my sister....LOL!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
