What's wrong with wearing short-shorts and mini skirts in college?

Disregard the answer from the above troll. Your mom is a bit overprotective because she is scared that you are growing-up, and she worries about your as all parents do. Sit down and have a talk, not about the shorts, but about your growing-up and how you realize it is discomforting to her, and then listen to her response.

Perhaps when she realizes you are not a little child anymore she will give you more freedom. She probably does not really understand her own fears in this respect.

Buying shorts that are a little longer than one inch from your bottom wouldn't hurt. Unless you want the attention, which is most likely the case among girls your age. Besides your mom is only trying to look at for you, what's wrong with dressing a little modest anyways.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
