Frustration is an indication that we don't understand something, either about ourselves or the person or situation we are confronting. Calm and eventual balance comes from the learning and questioning why. The answer inevitably places the frustration within the realm of understanding and your perspective will change.
Its all about learning.
Looking at the bigger picture...after all we are often frustrated by small obstacles on our everyday path through life...and then when something really serious comes to our way we suddenly stop and realise, that it was just a silly thing that bothered us before...just look at everything from perspective...
If one realizes that 'frustration' is nothing more than the world not bowing to your commands/demands - then you will tend to be less frustrated. How to deal with difficult people - the basics of difficult is that they want to be heard, but unfortunitly some also want to fight for that is there world view. One of the ways is to give them the attention and listen and engage them - they are eigher going to have an answer/solution OR they just want to cause trouble.
You are not required to join them - just listen and engage. You remain clam by not giving it to them - it's kinda hard for one person to yell if not engaged by another unless the other person is a total jerk - then walk away.
I find, if I can't talk to someone about it, to write it down and then throw it away. You seem to be indicating that it is a situation where you don't have the chance to walk away or to take a time out. In that case, take 5 deep, slow breaths.
Something I was told, and occassionally does work for me, is to smile in the face of these situations. If faced with an irate colleague or customer, if you smile, it prompts your body to relax. It can infuriate people further but it can also relax them and make them easier to deal with.
I hope this helps in some way!
Breathe, look you can't change people, so if it gets too tough to deal with them take a breath and walk away. It's not worth getting all upset and ruin your day, we just have to accept there are people who want to ruin your day. Take away thier fuel by saying have a nice day.
I go somewhere where I can be alone, even if it's not physically. Shutting out the world may be better than over reacting to it.
Frustration is strange thing, it leads to tiredness and suicide, and many other troubles. I went through it for almost consuctively 2 years. I met a friend who is very sucessful and great man since I have seen him.
He tought me just one thing, "STAY BUSY" in some thing. I was intrested in computer, video games, study the different cultures and make plan. I started studying.
I did my bechlor in 4 years from a college. I went to the seminary and finished my Masters in Leadership. Things changed, and life got a new start.
Now I do not frustrate and it attacks me I get busy with things which I do not know and learn them. The time does not halt it moves rapidly when you become busy.
I deal with frustration by beleiving that God can sort out all things for me. I trust him.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
