Haha funny (not really) story: I was about 12 when my class went on a field trip. I live in a rural area and the restaurant we stopped at was right across from a farm. The only thing the place sold was burgers, and as soon as I took a bite a cow walked by and looked at me.
I threw it up and never touched a piece of meat again! I also have a history of bad heart health and cancer in my family, so my vegetarian lifestyle has definitely become even more important to me. So I guess both for ethical and health reasons!
I became a vegetarian at the beginning of when I was in grade 2. The rest of my family isn't, but they support my decision. I've cared about animals since I was born, practically, and it just didn't seem right to be EATING them.
Truthfully, I was reading this huge "Animal Ark" series when I was little, and it's about this girl who's parent's are vets and all about animals and stuff. She was a vegetarian, and she was practically my idol (this is all when I was in grade 2 lol!) I wanted to try out being a vegetarian for a while. And I discovered I liked it.
I never really was a fan of meat, except for sea food and ribs. I started to think about it. We were eating creatures that once moved around and lived like us.
I found the thought disgusting. Then I found out I was severally allergic to sea food and fish, and I decided I could give up all other meats. I've been a vegetarian for 7 years since then, and I know in my heart that I will ALWAYS be one.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
