When Jesus taught his followers to pray, why did he say pray that the Father's name be hallowed?

Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those (Jehovah's Witnesses) who declare good news of good things!

Precisely the point, it can't be hallowed if it is not used... Going out to the persons who think they have a solid point about Abraham and early prophets & people who were Jehovah Gods people but did not know his name to call upon it. Jesus came to fulfill the law of the early prophets & Matthew 6.9 was from Jesus who gives the Lords prayer as a guide & teaching point about prayer and its importance, many things can be learned from this model prayer, but one of them is to keep Jehovah's name holy (clean & pure) so Jesus is telling us to use our fathers name in pure clean worship & prayer...Simples :) It was not necessary to tell Gods people this before Jesus came, because for the most part they did keep Gods name holy, they also had the mosaic law...Hence when Jesus came and fulfilled the law the people needed a new set of commandments or laws, hence the New Testament... Simples :).

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
