But what about the Bible saying to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So how are we asleep until the resurrection?
The Bible says only 144,000 will go to heaven to rule with Jesus over the earth & the rest will live in The question arise what is the logic behind it. All are the creatures of God but why is this difference. It is because how an individual is following the gospel truth of God in the process of life.
The preachers of the Church are praying for those who could not follow the ideals of life as in Bible to get to be pardoned.
As I understand it, the 144,000 are a reference to the Hebrews, not all of humanity. Later in chapter 7 of revelation makes reference to a multitude of all nations (as opposed to the 12 tribes of Israel). I didn't see a reference to them ruling in heaven though.
You are referring to the Lord's Prayer. The prayer said, "Our Father who art in Heaven, Holy be thy name, your Kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. " The phrase "your kingdom come" means that we are praying to God for his coming into our lives, that we should be filled by his power.
And we say also, "your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. " Meaning, we should submit ourselves to his will, not to our will. This has a very close connection to what Jesus said in the Bible that unless we live a child-like life, we cannot enter heaven.By being child-like, we should always ask God for assistance because a child is dependent upon his parents.
Regarding the 144,000 that you mentioned, you are referring to the Book of Revelation that only 144 will be saved. That's not true. Don't take the words literally.
Up to this moment, do you think only 144,000 souls are enjoying happiness with God in heaven? Thanks and may God bless you always.
DancingRedFeatherYou are correct in certain aspects, but you have mentioned a few subjects, but each can be described individually, and at the end you get a Broader picture of the various issues combined. Have a look at each of these hubs, they harmonise with each other. hubpages.com/hub/Death-What-nowhttp://hu... are Jews his disciples will be the priests Jesus did mention to the disciples (12) that they will rule with him each a tribe.Us gentiles will be treated as sons of God.
Go well.
I have more or less answered this question in a reply to your other question. The 144,000 are made up of 12 x 12,000 people from each of the Twelve Tribes of Israel and here are the 12 tribes:Joseph/Ephraim = England + her Commonwealth, Canada Australia, South Africa and NZManasseh = The USALevi = Wales, Cornwall and The Walloons in Belgium + dispersal throughout IsraelSimeon = Scotland + dispersal throughout Israel. Judah = Royal Judahites in Northern Ireland and throughout Israel (Judah is not the Jews - The Jews are Canaanites)Rueben = Northern France including ParisZebulon = Holland and The Boers in South AficaIssachar = Sweden Benjamin = Norway Denmark and IcelandGad = BelgiumAsher = SwitzerlandNaphtali = FinlandDan = Southern Ireland - not included because of their Papist whoremongering.
Again these people will enter the Kingdom of God on this earth, they are not going to heaven! In answer to yolanda yvette's question. Being absent from the body means not following the lusts of the body.
If we are absent from it i.e. Keeping our focus on being led by the Spirit then we are immediately absent from the body. As soon as we put our focus back onto the desires of the body we are immediately at home with the body.
This verse has nothing to do with our death and the resurrection.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
