No, she'll still be referred to as Queen Elizabeth. And she won't abdicate, so he will become king when she dies But But if she does abdicate and he becomes King while she is still living, she will be the Queen Mother and the King's mother I was born in 1952, just after the Coronation so have always lived in the reign of ER, have always been familiar with Queen Mother, but King Mother sounds so awkward. Suppose will get used to it.
Met Queen Mother when she visited my school, Queen Elizabeth 1st Grammar School, during the 400th year celebration of its founding, back in the early sixties. Sat and thought about my question, after 50 odd years, have thought Queen Mother referred to mother of the Queen, but of course it means Queen and mother So my question about the title King Mother is a bit silly as she will still hold title Queen and mother of course. Thank you for your answer that has removed a misconception I have held for so many years Answer If she abdicates she won't be known as queen mother!
Queen mother is a title reserved only for a woman who is a widow of a king and mother of a current king. Her Majesty has never been wife of a king and if she abdicates she'll most likely be known as The Duchess of Edinburgh.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
