When talking on the phone, cell or land line, and the person you are speaking with gets another phone?

When talking on the phone, cell or land line, and the person you are speaking with gets another phone they say hang on a minute, do you hang on or hang up. I hang up, especilly if it's my dime, or if it's burning up my minutes. I find it very rude, to say oh wait let me stop talking to you to talk to someone else.

Duh, you are talking to me, you more than likely have caller I.d. Because you have call waiting and I believe they come together in just about every extras package. Once again some middle ground from me Ok, so...if the person I am talking to says to me, at the beginning of our conversation... "I am sorry Sophie The Dog, I have a couple of pressing things pending and if I get a call I am going to have to answer if they come in while we are talking. If you want, I can call you back or if you don't mind an interruption, it will only take a second. " Then.... I am cool.

I don't mind. Life is life, there are always things more important or less important than a phone conversation so I am cool. If on the other hand the person says nothing and then tells me to hold on I consider hanging up.

I usually will give it one chance and will wait one time. Based on how long I am on hold or how rude the person is I hang up and don't answer when they call me back. The worst was once when my sister put me on hold.

I was on hold FOREVER and finally hung up. She didn't call me back for two days. It was TERRIBLY RUDE.

I never wait now when she and I talk. I tell her to call me some other time. I think it is rude to not communicate what is going on ahead of time and if you don't it is inconsiderate..

I hang up on them If I am not important enough to talk to them screw them. I have caller waiting, but unless I think the incoming call is an emergency from a family member, I won't amnswer the call. Since I know who it is from caller ID I can call them when I finish my first call..

To hand up or not to hang up.......... It really depends on who I talking to, and who's dime it is. I find this to be a terribly rude "fashion". It is for this very reason that I refuse to have call-waiting.

I have caller ID, so I can no answer when I get a call from "ID Unavailable, No Number" type calls. I figure it is a telemarketer and I don't want to talk to them. Fortunately, I can decide whether or not to have call-waiting.

When it first came out I had it for awhile, but soon got rid of it. I suppose in a real emergency it is a good thing. People will call back if it is important enough to them.

Sources: experience .

I will hang on for a minute or two and then hang up. They could have an emergency or be expecting an important call, so I don't mind someone answering another line. However, they should come right back to the original phone call, or it is considered to be rude..

It depends on who I am speaking to If I am speaking with my parents or sister, I am likely to stay on the line and just wait for them since if it will be more than a minute or two they will generally excuse themselves, besides I have unlimited minutes to talk to them on their cell phones. If it is someone else, I will likely excuse myself. I trust most of my friends to not excuse themselves unless they expected the call to be very important/urgent.

If it is business, it depends on how difficult it is to get the person I'm speaking with on the phone and how important they are/the issue we are discussing is.

I have a cell phone number but need to find the person it belongs to How do I do this.

I don't have cell coverage in the area of my home. How can I use my cellphone over my land line.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
