The dollar signs shown in the Hub Metrics are just an educated guesstimate on HubPages' part, and they will change as you change the words in the Hub tags slots. They are not related to the title of the Hub. hubpages.com/hub/Fine-Tuning-Your-Hubs#mod.
It's just a rough estimate on what you *might* see and the traffic they *might* generate. I've had hubs that have had three dollar signs next to them when they were published, and then they'd go down to one. Not scientific to say the least...LOLPeace,Donna.
The hub metrics is based on lot more factors like subject of your hub, audience level for the subject you wrote, keyword average cpc, etc. If you get lot more traffic to your hub then you will lot more chances of reaching the hub metrics revenue level.
I believe (but don't quote me) that it's based on the potential click value of the main keyphrase in the title. It isn't very accurate in my experience. LIke you say it doesn't seem to factor in amazon sales potential.P.S.Sorry if you found my answer to one of your other questions a bit harsh (you said "ouch!"), I just answered it without realising who had asked.
Not that that should make any difference, but I would have at least said .
No worries, Susana! My "ouch" was for the idea of being "short priced," or whatever that phrase was-I'm very glad you clued me in on that idea, as I had no clue.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
