When you buy holiday gifts for your married children do you spend more on your children than the person they married. I don't buy my son-in-law and daughter-in-law garbage but I do spend more on my children. Spen the same if you spend the same on you childs spouse, they will appreciate you more! I believe it to be unfair if you spend more on your child. You do not need to spend a lot on either, just buy a nice gift that they would enjoy and remember it is the thought that counts!

I'm all for equality, when possible...or... We buy our married kids something special they'd like for their house...a joint gift. Then we still buy for each of the grandkids, though. Now that they're teenagers, we found a gift certificate to their favorite store works best...it's so hard for us to pick out something that they'd like.
I don't know, I've never really felt comfortable playing favorites...spending more on one than the other...the sons and daughters-in-law are an important part of our family, too. A marriage is a union of two, who are equal in the relationship. So your spending should be as equal as possible. You need to take their feelings and abilities to deal with adversities into consideration.
Some people are more sensitive to these issues than others. But your best bet is to remain as equal as possible. Or even buy them a single gift they both can enjoy.
(ther is no perfect answer to fit every situation, so I understand your concern) I’ve (we’ve/my immeadiate family) have tried to remove ourselfs form the holiday gift giveing because of these issues and differant income levels with my siblings, divorces, poor decisions, etc. I’d rather just get together for dinner and social time and just leave the gifts out.
No I try very hard to spend the same for my son and his wife as I used to do for my youngest son and his estranged wife. Of course the wives do not care for anything you buy them. Lol ....I also try to give both of my sons some money, my youngest son I give a little more money to, because he has no wife and child now, so it comes out pretty even.

I get them a gift for a couple, then I wait for the grand child, send him/her a gift, and a card to it's parents.
WHAT SHOULD I PUT ON MY W-4 IF I AM NOT MARRIED AND HAVE NO CHILDREN.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
