Here's an example on Adventure Works - of course, it's prebuilt SSAS, but I guess you could look at the underlying AventureWorks DB and do the dimensional modeling yourself. I think doing a DW on an existing popular dataset like Northwind or AdventureWorks is probably not a great idea, because so many people have done them. Even StackOverflow has had data mining done, but perhaps it would be a good candidate - I'm not sure what Brent's work actually comprised.So if you are looking to do an original project, you might need to look further afield, if only to distinguish your work from previous work.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
