I don't know a whole lot about the world of comic books, but I do know they have some value. I found 2 Silver Surfer books from 1970 (The Human Torch & The Mightiest Superhero of All), and 2 Ghost Rider books from 1973 (Is He Alive Or Dead?). They are all in sleeves and look like great condition.
Looks like they were tucked away for a long time. Any helpful information would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Overstreet Price Guide for Comics The Overstreet Price Guide is generally the bible for comic book pricing (an updated edition is published yearly). However, you should be aware that comics books are priced based on condition, which goes from fair to mint/near mint. Since you are inexperienced in rating them, you will need the assistance of someone who can grade your particular books.
Try to find other collectors out in your area (not necessarily comic book dealers) who are willing to look at your books to grade them (you may have to pay a fee). You might also look at what kind of prices other dealers are asking for on comparable books from the same era to give you an idea. If you know someone who frequents comic book conventions, he or she may be able to give you some additional guidance.
Hope this helps.
Ebay not only good deals but you can receive helpful answers to your questions .
You will have to spend some time looking on eBay for comparative pricing. If you want to sell them eBay is the place to do it since your local book store will only give you pennies on the dollar for them. Since they have the original sleeves they might be worth more than the one I checked out on eBay ($5).
Unopened ones are worth a lot more of course.
This might help:ezinearticles.com/?Comic-Book-Appraisal-... be advised that pro appraisers charge a fee and may not even respond to so few books. Good luck.
I believe the Overstreet Guide is the ultimate standard. But the condition of the comics is a major factor, and that must be judged with absolute impartiality. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overstreet_Comic_B....

What is the best way to experience Superman: comics, movies, TV ....
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
