Yes they do take kids who get their diplomas online. The two types of schools do not show up exactly the same on your application any more than a private school and a public school show up the same. The college will know the difference between an online school and a brick and mortar school, because you have to give the name and location of the school as a part of your application and transcripts.
But that won't matter if your grades are good, your SAT and ACT scores are good and you have extra-curricular activities. Colleges accept and recruit students from every school style who have good applications.
No online public school shows up just the same as a regular public school. If you mean you want to use online home school material then they are actually seeking out home schooled students. Either way you will be fine they won't hold it against you.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
