Call the elementary schools in your area. Most of them would love to have a volunteer help the students who need some extra assistance. Just a note - you might have to have a criminal background check or be fingerprinted before they'll let you work with the kids, but my school system does this for free - volunteers just have to stop by the school office.

You could try the middle schools/high schools too if that's the kind of math you want to tutor. However, they don't have as many volunteers come in during the day. They might want someone to help some kids after school though.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
