Probably not the answer you were looking for, but I have been in the same boat looking for a used/refurb iPad. They are still in such high demand fo a reasonable price (I consider $500 to be good for what you get with an iPad) right now which makes it hard. If anyone bought one and didn't like it for whatever reason, they most likely had a friend that wanted it and bought it from them for just below cost.
Though bottom line, most people who buy an iPad know they are going to keep it. They are able to demo the product before purchase (unless they order it) and know the quality of the brand, and they have 30 days to return it for full money back. There really won't be too much of a market for used iPads at least till after Christmas, and most likely not till there is more than one model out.
The used units that I have been seeing around arent cheap enough to justify myself to buy a used one, unless its got applecare maybe. Personally I would either save up and invest in a brand new one, or have the patience to wait and then choose between the upgraded model for $500 and the "last season" model for $300. Remember, if you buy one it will be awesome, though it could be outdate in 6 months with an iPad 2 (or whatever they call it.) Hope this helped, wish it would have helped more.

Don't buy one thay don't have flash so its like a big ipod touch.
I would buy it from bestbuy or apple that way they are sure to be working properly and you will not be scamed by someone.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
