Where is the block heater cord on a 1999 Dodge Ram Diesel?

Pop the hood. It's behind and a little the the right of the passenger side head light. It's a black cord with plug cover over the grounded plug itself Pop the hood. It's behind and a little the the right of the passenger side head light.

It's a black cord with plug cover over the grounded plug itself.

I have the cord I am trying to find out where the plug is for the heater cord. A diagram or any assistance I found something that could be it above oil filter took in behind an area I can't reach into. Does nybody have a link or picture or a good explaination on where this is?

I had the same issue last year. Look for your oil filter, it is less than 5 inches from there. I think there was a plastic cap covering the heater that you must remove.

I hope this pic helps... take off the inlet boot between your turbo and the aircleaner. Plug it in, and follow your heart. BTW, I have an extra cord if anyone is interested... (P/N 1-05086737AB) I ended up with an extra one when Ipurchased mine last year.

2006 CTD 6spd 3.73 Smarty Sr. I thought all our truck (dodges) came with the cord that comes right to the front of the truck that you just plug into a extension cord? Visit NCcummins's homepage!

Nope, its an option. All come with the block heater though. Real stupid questing I feel like, but does dodges have glow plugs?

Or is that a ford thing? I figured we do because we have to wait to turn it on and what else could that do, heat up the air or somethng?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
