Where is the gaslamp quarter of San Diego?

The gaslamp quarter of San Diego is the historic area of downtown which is now filled with restaurants, clubs, bars, and shopping. The streets are lined with refitted "gaslamp" style street lights. The old area used to be used in railroad times and the tracks still pass through there. In order to light the streets at night, the lamps were put up and ran on gas from the underground natural gas piping.

Now they have been fitted to be electric but the shape still gives the old time feel to the area. Quite popular at night, this area is where many of the local college students go to hang out and party on the weekends. The dining in the area is fairly well known and if you park you can wander from place to place without having to move your car.

If you stay in any of the downtown hotels you can easily take the metro or a cab to the gaslamp quarter and enjoy yourself without having to worry about how much you drink. Be sure to check the metro line, though as it does have spotty service late at night; in other words much longer waits between trains.

All attendees to the 2013 Mardi Gras in the Gaslamp assume all risks incident to the event, including the risk of lost, stolen or damaged property or personal injury. The Gaslamp Quarter Association, its staff, representatives or agents may eject or refuse entry to any person for violation of venue rules, illegal activity, misconduct or failure to comply with any and security measures. Gym bags, backpacks, oversize packages, cans, bottles, weapons, fireworks, contraband, video cameras, cameras, recorders, umbrellas, lawn chairs, tents, bicycles, wagons, skateboards, rollerblades, coolers, glass containers or pets are prohibited within the entire event venue.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
