Is God squeezed out yet again :( Interesting how every other category can exist except one related to the Creator and Author of the greatest love story in history. He stands at the door of your heart people and desires only to be reconciled with his children...take the life line. Find an authentic, Christ centered, Bible teaching assembly of believers somewhere and seek God.

You must have missed it.... because it’s definitely there. Here it is: askville.amazon.com/religion/Topic.do?ta.... There are a large number of questions there.

Did you realize that when you post a question, you can add topics that you want, you don’t necessarily have to use the ones that you see. All you need to do is add the word religion in the adding topics area before you finalize your question. The other thing you can do is use the Search Askville area at the top of the page under the Askville by Amazon heading, type in the word religion and previous questions to do with religion will pop up.

If you click on one or two of those questions, I think you’ll find that they have had the topic religion added by the people who posted the question. Sources: my addled brain .

The topics that you see listed are not the only ones; there are thousands of topics. All you have to do is type a word that you think defines your question and you create a topic. Beyond that though, religion is a huge topic here and there are many, many questions about religious points of view.

You dont' have to preach to people here on Askville. I suggest that you slow down, look around, find your place before you start judging us. You'll find many very religious and devout people here but you'll also find rabid atheists.

:) Seriously, though, I'm a Christian, but I'd not noticed the lack of a religion category. Probably it's because Askville seems to be mostly about facts, where religion is mostly a deeply personal combination of feelings and beliefs. It'd be interesting to see what happened if there were such a category, though..

In Heaven, if there is an Askville there, this category, God and will be the biggest of all! Maybe the only! God is much, much to scary to be discussed in public I mean think about it. If there is a God then there is someone to answer to. If there is a God and he authored a best selling self help and inspirational book detailing how we should live that would make some people uncomfortable.

Why uncomfortable? Some people do not like to be told what to do or not do. In my experience those same people have no trouble instructing others (many teachers).

That makes them comfortable. No, God is wayyyy to weird and demanding. Many of the unwashed in this country have traded JC in for PC.It has had wonderful results in the government schools.

Take out God and put in metal detectors, why didn’t we see that before? Promote all manner of sexual "sin" on TV and in the movies and watch teenage pregnacies and abortion rates rise and marriage rates fall. Using sex in TV shows and commercials and in todays movies is like cursing.

Sign of ignorance. If writers couldn’t put in sex or violence in to sell a movies they might have to come up with movies like "rear window", "Cat on a hot tin roof ", to "Kill a Mockingbird". I have been around... I don’t have to SEE people DO IT to know that people DO IT!

Anyway.... The Loving God of all Creation scares the crap out of liberal people. S message is love and He offers everyone a choice, gotta be a catch there. The rain still falls on the believer and unbeliever and the sun still shines on the atheist and the faithful.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
