Skype is far better than the other services I have used for VoIP input. I haven't actually used Yahoo with Voice. I have used programs such as xFire, Windows Live Messenger, NetMeeting, and Skype.
I found Skype to have the easiest user interface and most functions of the four. NetMeeting is outdated and does not have a large userbase; Windows Live Messenger has issues with interface and options (it is designed primarily for text chat); xFire has even fewer options than Windows Messenger (although xFire is primarily useful if you play video games a lot, and it works great for that; otherwise, not so much). Bottom line is, I highly recommend Skype.
