Lulu. Com gives you more control over the amount you get to keep from your book and doesn't keep 20% for "royalty fees". Plus you can upgrade to a package that will sell your books to Amazon and Barnes and Noble and other online book stores.
When I looked into Amazon, they keep a 20% royalty out of what you make. I prefer Lulu because they have more to offer, you pick the price, you pick where you want it to publish to (amazon, etc). If you can't afford the package to sell on Amazon, you can always upgrade to it later on.
Bottom line, Amazon is more in it for the money. Lulu was created by a man who believed everyone should be able to publish the book of their dreams- for free- if they want to. You never worry about how much it will cost you because it doesn't (unless you want an upgrade package).
They have a wonderful cover creator too! Lulu is awesome!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
