They're all favourites! None are 'least' in my opinion. ;-) Actually, this evening on the TV classical music channel I heard the lovely Nocturne Op.27, No.2 in D by Chopin, and it was played by Catherine Manoukian, violinist with piano accompaniment.
Label is MARQUIS. I happen to have the CD as well and really treasure every piece she plays - a remarkably fine player, lots of beautiful tone and excellent musicianship. ------------------- Also, here is Izhak Perlman, violin, in Chopin’s Nocturne in C sharp minor: youtube.com/watch?v=t4JPHah7V5M&feature=... -------------------- Video Nocturne by Chopin.
Played by Zino Francescatti, violin. Video This is Mischa Elman, violinist, in Chopin's Nocturne in E-flat, with piano accompaniment. Video Arthur Rubenstein, pianist, in Chopin's Nocturne Op.9, No.2.
Video This is my favourite. Nocturne Op.27, No.2 in D flat Major by Chopin, performed by Dinu Lipatti, pianist. It's superb on violin too!
