There is no doubt about my favorite city. It is Savannah Georgia. The old part of town has all of those beautiful green squares with live oaks and Spanish moss all over them and the city just oozes Southern charm.
Then there is the history that this great old city has and I have never found a city anywhere in the world that has any better food. On top of that I love ghost stories and Savannah has some of the finest ghost tours that I have ever come across. I don’t really have a large city that I really hate but I can say that I was not impressed with Glasgow Scotland. It just came across to me as kind of grimy and dirty.
Part of the problem was probably that the ghlands and Edinburgh were so beautiful in comparison but when it was time to leave Glasgow I was ready. Sources: my travels .
I love New YORK. New York is my favorite city. It I where I was born and raised.
New York is a vibnrant city where you can travel through different ethnic neighborhoods. You can enjoy our beautiful parks and gardens as well as the animals in the zoo. There are beautiful private homes, skyscrapers, museums, concert halls and a public transportation system that runs 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
There are beaches and sporting events, stores, great restayrants and all sorts of things to suit eveyone"s needs and likes. Of the other cities I have visited, I can"t think of one I really dislike.
My favorite would have to be.....San Francisco, although London is a close second. I love the hills, the colorful Victorian architecture, the views of the bay, the idiosyncratic streets, the terrific seafood, and Chinatown. I love the way the bright orange nasturtiums look against the grey sidewalks, and the way the fog comes in on "little cat feet" under the Golden Gate Bridge.
I even enjoy telling folks about the strange parking regulations, including parallel parking on steep hills so you either fall out of your car when you open the driver's door, or have to climb up and out. The sound of the trolley bell, the smell of the bay, the coldness of the air, it's all great. Even the occasional tremor isn't enough to scare me off.My least favorite would have to be Los Angeles, the city of cars.
Everything involves driving on the freeway, way too fast and way too close, or driving on the freeway, way too slow and way too close. And everybody has a cell phone and a pager and a palm pilot and an iPod and they are connected all the time, never taking it slow, and everyone knows somebody "in the Industry," which makes them important, or at least more important than you. Feh!

Cities My favorite US city is Washington DC...I love the architectural beauty of the buildings, the layout of the city, the gardens, the vast cultural resources available there, and the feeling of walking in history's footsteps when you are there. I love sitting in with Congress or the Senate and listening/watching our government in action. It thrills me to walk where John Kennedy or Thomas Jefferson might have walked!
There is so much to do there, and as a small-town person that is like heaven to me! I come from a very small town, with very little culturally to do...we've got our history, but it's not quite as impressive as in DC. But as far as international cities, I've always loved London, England!
It's beautiful, historical, full of memories for me, and has so much culture and things to do and see. It's a beautiful walk into even earlier history and romance than we can ever imagine here in the US... The least fave...hmmm....I don't like going to Detroit... *Poppet*'s Recommendations Great American Picture IS150631 Jefferson Memorial, Washington DC Framed Photograph - Charles Shoffn I Love Washington DC - Sweatshirt T-Shirt .
