Which NFL Coach will be fired first?

Considering all of the disappointing teams scattered across the NFL this season, it isn’t surprising that Sportsbook. Com opened NFL betting odds on which head coach will be the first to get sent to the unemployment line. Let’s take a quick look at some of the names that made the list, (Betting Odds in parenthesis) 1.

John Fox, Carolina Panthers (+250) The Panthers are off to a 0-5 start and are scoring an NFL worst 10.4 points per game. Last season the Panthers only had an 8-8 record despite a 12-4 record in 2008. Rookie quarterback Jimmie Clausen is coming off a dreadful performance in which he completed just 9 of 22 passes for a whopping 61 yards and an interception.

The usually reliable backfield of DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart ranks just 22nd in the NFL in rushing. This is Coach Fox’s ninth season with Carolina and it could very well be his last if the Panthers don’t turn it around ASAP. It might be time to start fresh in Charlotte.2.

Wade Phillips, Dallas Cowboys (+300) Back in 2007, Dallas owner Jerry Jones made a head-scratching move when he named Phillips to replace Bill Parcels as the new Cowboys head coach. After further thought it all made sense. Considering Jones is a control freak, he wanted a head coach who would essentially act as a puppet.

Last season, Phillips and the Cowboys got a huge monkey off their back when they won their first playoff game since 1996. As a result, big things were expected this season in big D. Dallas is off to a miserable 1-3 start.

Even more disturbing, they were the betting favorites in each of their three losses. Additionally, two of those losses came in front of the home crowd.3. Chan Gailey, Buffalo Bills (+300) Speaking of Jerry Jones puppets, Sportsbook.Com considers this former Dallas head coach a strong candidate to get a pink slip soon.

He is only five games into his Buffalo tenure but they have yet to win a game. Additionally, with a 1-4 record against the spread (ATS) they haven’t been kind to the NFL betting population. The Bills have lost three of their last four games by double-digits.

Moreover, in each of their last three games their opponent was able to rush for 200+ yards. Considering this is Gailey’s first season in Buffalo, it is doubtful he will get the axe anytime soon; however, if they keep getting embarrassed… 4. Norv Turner, San Diego Chargers (+350) At the end of the 2006 season, then San Diego head coach Marty Schottenheimer was abruptly shown the door.

Despite being an NFL coaching legend, Marty’s failure to get it done in the postseason led to his demise. So what does the Chargers’ front office do? They replace him with a head coach that has such a wonderful postseason resume (sarcasm) – Norv Turner.

Under Norv San Diego won three straight AFC West titles and have compiled a 3-3 postseason record. However, the fact that they have yet to make it to the Super Bowl is a huge disappointment considering the talent on their roster. This year the Lightning Bolts are off to a disappointing 2-3 start.

There 2-3 record is magnified even more when you take into consideration the teams they played. Their five opponents combined for a 31-49 record in 2009. Seriously, why do teams keep running guys like Turner and Gailey out there?5.

Mike Singletary, San Francisco 49ers (+350) For the last couple seasons the 49ers were supposed to be a team ready to make a push for the playoffs. However, Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals dominated the weak NFC West during 2008 and 2009. With San Francisco going 5-3 over the second half of 2009 in addition to Warner’s retirement, the NFL betting odds indicated the Niners to be the favorites to win the division.

Fast forward five weeks and Singletary’s crew is still looking for their first victory. There is far too much talent on both sides of the ball for the 49ers to be winless in mid October. Each of their next four opponents has a losing record so the season can still be salvaged, especially considering the NFC West is so putrid that an 8-8 or even 7-9 record could win it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
