Religion is supposed to give solace, not irrational fears... We, as animals, are all afraid of death. It’s a built in survival mechanism. When something is alive it struggle to stay alive.
Animals and vegetables both. We Humans have the ability to consider death, "Existential Anxiety" is the medical term. Religion takes advantage of this natural fear and sells us a cure for this survival mechanism like the Carrot-on-a-stick.
It’s called “The After Life". And they give us a “choice” of an eternal Heaven, Or they escalate the fear by adding the worse-than-death threat of Hell, eternal torture and pain. I'm an atheist.
At age 10 I realized that Heaven and Hell were not real things!
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
