Once in my opinion, the feds have unlimited resources and actively go after people, once is enough, if they blew it well hire better people.
If the jury could not reach a verdict (hung jury), then the person can be retried as many times as is necessary to reach a verdict. If a jury does reach a unanimous verdict of not guilty, the person cannot be retried for the same crime. Its called double jeopardy and it violates a the constitution.
A prosecutor could then try to find a person guilty on a different offense, but not the same one they are tried for. But since this administration has already shown that they are willing to deny Miranda rights to people suspected of terrorism (and good luck asking this administration to "define" terrorism), I have no doubts that they will retry people for the same crime if being suspected of terrorist activities is what they are on trial for. Hell they may forgo a trial altogether.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
