Fisher, Bryant, Artest, Gasol, Bynum... Obviously, there have been a bunch of star-studded Lakers teams over the years. But none have been better than they ave been the last couple years. The NBA's never been as deep as it is now, so it makes sense that they don't ominate as some of the other Lakers' teams.
But many of those teams stars were far out of their prime when they were playing with greats that were in their prime. Also, other teams didn't have a 6th man like Lamar Odom that was a legitimate all-star. The next best starting five (despite their lack of success), would have to be Payton, Bryant, Malone, Shaq, and whoever their fifth guy would be (Fisher, Rick Fox, Devean George).
However, they never gelled together and didn't play up to their potential. It didn't help that Malone and Payton were way past their primes, and there was a rift growing between Kobe, Shaq, and Phil Jackson. But that year, their starting five had to look the best on paper.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
