Both..because the world cup of hockey starts much before IPL and ends just a few days before the IPL season. It was a very good strategic marketing done by IPL organizers to show their support for the Indian National game.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
