Preaching to the choir, friend! This "war" is a joke...especially in the view of my husband, who was actually IN Iraq and managed to come back alive. They literally give you a limitless supply of ammunition when you get there, and I actually heard something that I didn't know: When we leave a place after a war, we just throw away our weapons...leave them there...because it is cheaper to buy more than it is to bring them back!

It is also for this reason that they allow people just to shoot into the desert to deplet ammunition - so it can't be found and used! How much more money can we waste on a lost cause? Ask the republicans...they have the blank check, they are the ones getting richer, and the middle class is getting smaller...because the real people that matter in this country are getting poorer!

I don't know how many strings Bush had to have his daddy pull to win the first election, but to win the second election, he must have been under someone's desk! Do we really want our politics to be this way? Has integrity went out the window?

Plus, there is also something else to get W's name in the history books - this is the first time in American history that a war has not improved the economy! And if you say that the economy is great, that's fine it is true, but it is hard to ignore this fact: China is financing our war, and buying our real estate market out from under us! We are borrowing from Peter (China) to pay Paul (the war), and sooner rather than later, China is going to want to reap what it has sown here in America. (Expect your mortgage rate to skyrocket...possibly to about 15%) Round about that time, the incumbent (most likely a Democrat) will have to deal with it....Bush has said as much!(Remember that famous quote : "We are not pulling out of Iraq as long as I am President."

I DO! He's cracked. It's so embarrassing to see how low our country has come in the eyes of the world because of this idiot.Do you think he's EVER admit that he's made a mistake in Iraq or do you think he'll just continue on and try to run over Iran?

I absolutely cannot WAIT until he's out of office. Also, the next biggest threat we have as a country is that jerk Cheney. Can you believe he doesn't think he has to obey the law, saying he's NOT part of the Executive Branch of the government?

I tell you, these two make me absolutely crazy. The only reason I don't pray for Bush to die is because it would leave us with Cheney. And then God help us all.

Well, you'll get at least one :) Bush is gone soon, so that's one thing you're guaranteed to get. As far as the troops, I think pulling them out is going to totally screw Iraq. Pull them out, Al Quaeda or some other group takes over Iraq, and you just end up having to go back.It was a mistake getting INTO the war - Saddam was no threat to the US - but it'll be another mistake letting someone worse get into power there.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
