Yeah that Bangladeshi fan is pretty impressive. It was a nice statement. India needs Tendulkar more than Australia needs Ponting at this stage because let's face it, if Sachin is replaced by some youngster will he immediately make a standout performance and guide India to the victory?
It's not gonna happen. I am a fan of Tendulkar and I respect for all the great achievements and contributions Ponting has had. I don't really feel pleasure seeing any of them walking off.
One more note on Mehela and Sanga. Undoubtedly they got another 3 or 4 years of cricket left. Mahela made 90 in the first test.
Sanga was on his form of his life until his bad run started just in this New Zealand's tour of Sri Lanka. It was expected. When a batsman is on a terrific firm he'll have a poor run at some stage.
Both are still valuable. Yes we should show Exhibiting courtesy and politeness for each and every legend. Good luck to both Sachin and Rickie for their future endeavors.
When a player is not performing especially when he is only selected as a specialist batsman then it becomes a burden for the team. I have lots of respect for both Ricky Ponting and Sachin tendulkar but as age catchup no matter how good they are there is bound to be some chink or hole in the technique and their reflexes might slow them down. It's only out of sheer dodge determination that someone can hide those faults and take a different approach like Rahul did in Egg last year when they are age past their prime.
Losing Ricky is still a big loss for Australia as the position left vacant by him still needs to be fulfilled until a talented youngster establish himself in that position, the same can be said about Sachin when he decides to hang his boot but life just moves on. If Sachin doesn't score runs in the next test match then I think selectors may drop him which will be a humiliation for a great player like him,as a fan I don't want to see that. I would be happy if he contributes in a big way but if he doesn't he can retire because there is not much anymore he has left to achieve in his career.
I can only say that nobody can be bigger than team and its victory, after all all the great players play for their team to win. Good Luck to Sachin. Great career kudos to Ricky Ponting.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
