Who sends the award letter to you and how long does it take to receive it once you have been approved for disability?

You can compare drug programs online...you input the meds you take and it tells you what drug plans cover them and how much they are..this says the APPROVAL was jan 2014, not the benefit start date a very similar question was just asked and answered... it is 2 years after your BENEFIT START DATE....not after the approval date. Https://www.medicare.gov/people-like-me/... Your Medicare coverage begins 24 months after you get Social Security or Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) disability benefit If you join during one of the 3 months before you first get Medicare, your coverage will begin the first day of your 25th month of entitlement to disability payments. You should be getting notification from SSA asking if you want to opt out of part B and enroll in Part D or choose Part C instead.

If January was your first benefit month...i believe you would be eligible medicare Jan 2016.....it seems you should have been notified by now... call SSA and ask in case it got lost in the mail...you would need to sign up before Jan 1...probably better by Nov 30.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
