Who would win in a fight a 3rd degree black belt in Jiu-jitsu or a street fighter?

IMO the boxer, because let's be honest. Boxing is effective though with a limited arsenal and thus much easier to learn fast. Any martial art will take more time to master due to the high number of skills and moves you will learn.

As such the jiu jitsu guy with only 1 year of experience is at a definite disadvantage. How many first years do you know that can street fight? Hell how many experts know how to streetfight?

Learning how to mange and not get overwhelmed by adrenaline is almost impossible to teach in a controlled enviroment.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
