Depending upon how finely ground your food processor can make things, that should work fine. I grind mine with a regular grinder, but if food processors can grind, it'll be fine. You can put the ground (not grinded) beans into any canister with a tight-fitting lid I store mine in an old baby food jar, but I grind mine each week--Stays fresher that URL1 maybe just let her grind the beans herself?
Or offer to do it weekly/as needed as part of the gift?
They sell coffee grinders at Walmart for $9-15 and you grind it for each pot, for the best results, I have 2 one for coffee and the other for spices.
You can just go to the grocery store in the coffee & tea isle. They have a grinder & you can use it to grind the beans.
I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
