Eek. Let me go in to full detail as to why all of this is a problem: Chocolate: Chocolate is toxic to dogs because it raises their heart rate due to the high doses of caffeine causing them to have seizures. Seizures lead to brain damage and in some cases-death.

Fast food: Can lead to pancreatitis which is very common in yorkies. If the dog develops pancreatitis (which can occur because of a lack of nutrients and obesity) then the dog can no longer produce enzymes which help the body digest food. If this goes untreated- then this can also result in death.

I see yorkies all the time at my clinic. It's upsetting because most of the time you can prevent this by keeping your dog on a balanced and regulated diet. Science Diet, Natural Balance and Purina Pro Plan are all fairly inexpensive foods that would create a healthier diet.

Trust me, your boyfriend does not want to end up at the vet. It will run him between 600-2,000 dollars. Why pay that when he can pay $30 a month for a decent food?

Thats terrible. Fast food is bad for humans so of course it is bad for a dog especially if the dog is a small breed like a yorkie. If he gives the dog chocolate, the dog is going to get really sick and may even die.
