Who's name is on the check when writing a check as a wedding gift to the newly wed couple?

The check should be in both their names. Example: John and Jane Doe. At the bottom left of the check you can write 'wedding gift' and the date.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
