I remember what you are talking about. It's ball a$$ed obvious that Corporations = Republicans. Not that some Democrats also might as well be Republicans (I think they are just Repblican moles like a CIA mole).
Since most business owners are Republican, that is why we haven't seen real job growth for the last 4 years...they intend on continuing the "misery" factor as long as they are not in power while being obstructionists in Congress, even IF it means it is detrimental to National Security, the health of the Nation, or the common good of the American People. I remember the night of the election when McCain gave up. It was REALLY WEIRD what the Republicans did.
On a half lit stage, McCain and Palin appeared. McCain gave his little speech, and then...like out of a zombie movie...they turned the lights down. They turned the cameras on the crowd who was silent and unmoveable.
They moved the cameras in this half lit, mostly dark scenario, while the Republicans stood there in the darkness, like zombies, unmoving, silent...it was chilling watching that! I sat there thinking, "Oh Oh - Now they are going to really make life hell for us all." And that is exactly what they have done.
Two weeks later, Palin and the Republicans had a secret (yes, it was publisized) meeting down in Florida...I remember, it took about a week or so...but there was no or little news coming forth from it. I figured that the Republicans had a secret meeting there to put together an agenda of REVENGE against America and the American People for voting Obama into office...there to strategize about obstructionism. There to strategize about how to use HATE in America, while hiding behind a curtain of religious purity and using the most polarized and devisive topics they could to keep the American People polarized and to defeat the Democratic Administration by making the next four years, the most painful experience that could possibly be put together.
I just want you to know Bill, I am not and never have been, a conspiracy theorist...I am just observing, in a logical and rational manner, exactly what the Republicans have done over the last four years. Every bit of what I have said can be verified. The Republicans are hoping beyond hope that Americans are too stupid to remember who created the recession (Wall Street, the Banks, the incompetance of the FEC to reign in theft and criminal activity, the deregulation mentality of Republicans in creating a Wild-West free for all market based on no-holds-barred capitalism, even if it was criminal, immoral and wrong...while at the same time running an immoral and illegal war in Iraq .
I'm sorry, but I am just not that stupid that I cannot see plainly what has happened in the last 10 years. Yes, I remember the gasoline drop and the rise in gasoline you speak of - but I also remember a lot more than just that. I remember all of what has happened in the past 10 years.
Just look at what the Republicans have tried to do to the middle class and especially the working man. Look at how they basically turned Wisconsin into a disgusting stew of hatred and division. Then they tried Iowa and Ohio out to see if they could finally destroy the unions.
If it weren't for Republicans there would be no unions - the only reason why unions exist is because of Republican GREED. I don't want the state I live in turned into a hell hole like they did to Wisconsin. All I can say is, I hope the people of Wisconsin finally figure out what they did to themselves by electing Republicans to office - I haven't forgotten a damned thing and I sure as heck am not voting for any right wingers this fall.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
