As a man I say we have most everything we need or want. I know personally if there is something I want I just go out and buy it. Every year I try to create a christmas list and I always struggle so I know exactly what you mean.

Some gift ideas...personally I like gift cards to favorite stores or restaurants. If he is a sports fan...sports memoribilia is always nice. I really appreciate gifts that are something I may want but I feel like I do not want to spend my own money on it because it is sort of a luxury.

But I realize these gifts are nearly impossible as typically I will convince myself to buy things I really want. I also kind of like just plain stuff I need like razor blades, or t shirts, whatever...all the gifts you hated as a kid...I know they are no fun to give someone though. Another idea is just a night out on the town...like a nice restaurant...not many better gifts that spending the evening with your significant other..

Whatever it is... Get two. You can get one for me. My wife complains of this very problem.

From my sister, I got a Best Buy gift card for my birthday - which was months ago - and I haven't used it yet. Its not like hes a little boy and expects a gift (or is he) I myself would never expect my wife to buy me something, isnt it enough that you will give him a celebration of some kind, you should not stress yourself with, what to buy, oh my, I have no idea. I mean its not like you don't get for him through the year, he must have everything, that whys you have no idea what to get. The birthday thing has to stop at one point, I mean its not like your getting younger, its older, this can be real depressing is that really a reson to celebrate, so with that said just forget the birthday that way your not reminded to the fact that your getting old.

I always try to keep my B-DAY hush hush, I never let anybody know that iam a 33 year old fart, when someone asks, how old r u, my answer is 25, everyone believes, I want to keep it that way. So instead of stressing yourself over something so meaningless, I say FORGET ABOUT IT! Believe it or not is better that way .

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
