I am a teacher. I am a conservative. I am paid to go into the classroom and give the students a safe and structured learning environment.
I am paid to teach them. I am not paid to spout off my political beliefs. I'm sorry that you have teachers like this, on any range of the spectrum.
Oh, and by the way, I didn't go into teaching for the money. I don't know who would. I got in because I feel it is a calling in my life.
It is something I have wanted for years.
That is disturbing. Teachers are supposed to remain as politically neutral as possible. You attend a very poor high school.
When I attended high school my teachers refused to talk about their political views at all (although you can tell after a while after the inevitable discussion on politics comes around). *Woah, no way you can blame only liberals for the lagging education system. Conservatives take just as much blame.
They always complain but never agree to raising the funding. How do you expect a system to succeed with less and less money!?
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
