Why is it that home schooled children do substantially better on tests than public school kids?

This Social Anxiety Survivor system is based on principles of cognitive behavioral therapy and neuro-linguistic programming and is made simple for everyone to apply. Get it now!

That's not always true, it depends on what school district you live in and what the school is rated. All public schools are rated according to different standards. The school district I live in is considered a 4 out of 5.

Very good education. My sister home schools. She has only a high school diploma.

I think some of her kids thrive on it, but not all. There is a clear social aspect that is not being filled...if children don't interact with other children their own age, they at times can regress and even have social anxiety. I applaud moms who can do this, but I never would do this to my child.

It isolates them and keeps them from learning outside the scope of what their mother's know, AND it *can* act like brainwashing. If the children never hear an opposing view, then they will be taught opinion as fact. Example: Only teaching your children creation, and not evolution.

Refusing to teach certain sciences. Teaching history/politics in a way that is not objective, but is very subjective. Arguments can be made for both sides, but in my opinion, if the parents live in a good school district, then send them to public or even private school.

Let them be aware of the world around them, not isolated in a bubble.

It might not be about them doing better because it is home schooling, the parents may be more intelligent. There also may be other factors that play into it, I saw in one of the links you showed it said the father occupation of the child was an engineer or something. So obviously if they have more money they can pay more for educational resources and are more intelligent.

If it is 1 on 1 with an intelligent parent, it is surely going to be better than 25 or so on 1 teacher. It is also isolating if they don't have socialization opportunities with kids their own age.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
