Why are so many celebrating a thanksgiving day? I am giving thanks every day of the year. Why one?

So true so true...we don't do thanksgiving here that I know of... be thanful everyday for what we have as it may be our last. Good question :).

Another lovely tradition. I agree that it should be more of a focus every day, but, I'll take Thanksgiving too, as I'm almost certain to see family that don't seem to feel the need to come around other times ...and I miss them. Life is too busy.

It is just that....a tradition. I think its kinda sweet, specially seen as we have nothing like it. Just another reason to spend time with family you hardly see, eat lots and drink more - not much wrong with that.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
