Why are some breeders charging more for "rare" mink and solid colored Ragdolls?

I don't have an answer for that. I personally know over 30 Ragdoll breeders who sell non-traditional, colored Ragdolls. I think there are several hundred breeders working with these colors.

Here we don't charge more for a Blue Eyed Solid White, a Mink or a Solid. They are the same kittens as their traditional litter mates from one traditional parent. Some colors only come around once a year, but I don't believe people should be charged more for a color preference.

We do charge more for show quality kittens.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
